Exciting Times At Brookstown!
Our Church Council, meeting Wednesday, March 16, 2011, approved a recommendation by our Audio/Visual Study Committee to pursue steps toward enabling our congregation:
-to better serve our members who are homebound and in convalescent centers by providing a means of sharing our worship services with those unable to attend;
-to communicate worship services and opportunities available to congregation members more effectively through the use of live feeds to the Fellowship Hall, nursery, office and classrooms;
-to support our small group leaders and Sunday School class teachers through more effective media possibilities;
-and to invest in the future of the church by utilizing proven technologies to communicate the good news more effectively and fruitfully!
Brookstown Church is indebted to all who have worked to bring this vision to reality. We are especially grateful to the members of the A/V Committee and the Church Council, to all who have and will support the effort with offerings of any kind, and to the inspiration and leadership of our beloved Don Shanks who initiated the planning over a year ago.
