United Methodist Women is the largest denominational faith organization for women with approximately 800,000 members whose mission is fostering spiritual growth, developing leaders and advocating for justice. Members raise up to $20 million each year for programs and projects related to women, children and youth in the United States and in more than 100 countries around the world.

Our Brookstown UMW is very active with fun projects planned for 2012. Meetings are the 2nd Monday of each month at either 10 a.m. or 7 p.m. Our next meetings are January 9th. Brookstown's United Methodist Womens ministry is involved in many activities throughout the year to raise money for various causes. Two small groups meet on a monthly basis, the Sunshine Circle at 10:00am Mondays and the Circle of Service at 7:00pm Mondays. Several times a year we meet together on Sunday afternoons. Each meeting includes a devotion and program as well as any business items that arise.

Some of the events we have done during the year are making a quilt, bake sales, apple pie sales, dinner for the youth group during a mission trip to the children’s home. The women are involved in missions both locally and foreign.
